There is a huge array of activities right at our doorsteps, whether you’re interested in learning about the local culture or looking for adrenaline rush we will have something that’s right for you.
Surfing

Our beach offers consistent waves throughout the year, July offers the best surf for experienced surfers. The beach being 5 miles long means that it is also perfect for beginners to practice in the white water. If you fancy a surf trip we are also only 20 mins drive from Aposentillo which is known for its beautiful clean waves.

Kayaking
World class kayaking is right at our doorstep, the estuary offers wonderful kayaking for all levels. Equipment hire is available but please let us know in advance in order to reserve your items.
Volcano Hikes

Cosiguina Volcano provides a beautiful hike where you will see nothing but trees and butterflies, the hike itself is an easy level which takes around an hour with no stopping. We offer tours and transportation all year round.
Paddle boarding

We offer paddle board and oar hire all year round, the estuary is the perfect set up for a peaceful day of paddle boarding.
Local cooking workshops

Local food workshops include tortilla and cheese making classes. All ingredients are locally sourced and using traditional Nicaraguan methods of working, perfect for families and groups.

Local lifestyle workshops
Lifestyle workshops include natural medicine tour, handline fishing class, jewellery making classes, community tour, coconut tree climbing and depending on the time of the year turtle releases are also held at the Rancho. If there are any classes in which you are particularly interested in please let us know in advance.
